Description | Publicity and promotional material for The Chuffinelles. The Chuffinelles (originally Margaret Barraclough, Sylvia Jones and Joy Skelton) began as volunteers in Sheffield Popular Theatre's (SPT) 'East Side Story' production, but became an established trio cabaret act as part of the SPT. The Chuffinelles also toured around the country and performed at the Hackney Empire. Linda Smith directed much of their early performances. The folder contains copies of images taken for Sheffield Newspapers Limited., posters for 'Gerrin' Worked Up!' (1987-1988), and 'Three Go Mad!' (1988-1989) (Margaret Barraclough, Sylvia Jones and Joy Palmer). Also includes a copy of 'Tales From The Spring Shop', poems by Margaret Barraclough, Jean Clarke and Sheila Lee (produced by Sheffield Popular Publishing and Sheffield City Libraries). |
