Description
The first episode of 'Best of Order' ('Banjos and Beer on Broadway') broadcast on BBC Radio Merseyside in 1994. On Side A of cassette BSUCA/ASR/2/1. In this first episode, Club owner and promoter Ernie McCray (better known as Ernie Mack) and Ricky Tomlinson, actor and variety artist, talk about the beginnings and height of the popular club scene in Liverpool. The interview was conducted in the Atlantic hotel down on the dock road.
