DescriptionMaterial related to Mark Thomas' involvement in the Ilisu Dam Campaign. Includes photographs from a Stop the Ilisu Dam Campaign protest, a Balfour Beatty Counter-report written by the Ilisu Dam Campaign ('2000: balfour beatty's annus horribilis'), and a poster advertising a public meeting organised by the Hull Kurdistan Solidarity Association and Hull Syndicalists with speakers including Mark Thomas and Kerim Yeldaz (Kurdistan Human Rights Project), at the Hull Trades and Labour Club.
Added in 2020/21 were a Turkish newspaper dated 2001, 2 flyers advertising the campaign ("frankly Tony, I do give a damn"), a copy of the Tribune published 05 May 2000 featuring an article by Mark Thomas on the Ilisu project, a copy of Challenge magazine dated Summer 2000 featuring an article by Mark Thomas on the Ilisu Dam campaign, a photocopy of an article from a Turkish publication dated 28 Jun 2000, 3 photocopied illustrations of the Ilisu Dam alongside arabic text.
