DescriptionTheatre programme advertising a play produced at the Marlborough Theatre, Holloway, on 18th December 1907, entitled DOLLY VARDEN, relating to Dickens' novel Barnaby Rudge.

The play is part of "The Dickens Christmas Festival" and presented by The Dickens Fellowship Dramatic Society. A printed note on the back cover of the programme lists members of the Society and names the President as Herbert Beerbohm Tree
Contains the printed note, "The front page of this Programme is an exact reproduction of the Cover design for the Original Monthly Parts of "Master Humphrey's Clock," the periodical founded by Dickens, in which "Barnaby Rudge" appeared. The Centrepiece is a drawing for Dolly Varden, by Phiz, the block having been kindly lent by the Editor of "The Dickensian", a Magazine for Dickens lovers."
Also contains a printed listing of the venues and dates of the three performances of DOLLY VARDEN.
Contains the printed note, "At the close of the Performance Mrs. H. Beerbohm Tree will recite, and Mr. Martin Harvey (Vice-President of the Dickens Fellowship Dramatic Society) will Address the Audience on Charles Dickens, supported by Sir William Treloar, Bart., etc., etc."
