DescriptionBlack and white print of Hewlett and Nowell Johnson visiting the Tali People's Commune, Kwangtung. They are standing with a group of Chinese by the sluice gates on a canal. According to Nowell's 1964 China diary they visited the Commune on 17th May.

The spelling of the name of the Commune is variously given as"Dah Li" and "Tahli" in Nowell's diary, and as "Tali" on the reverse of the print.
