DescriptionBlack and white image of Hewlett and Nowell Johnson (holding fans) seated on a settee with Madame Chou En-lai, whilst Chou En-lai himself sits in an armchair. This scene was taken at the guest house where the Johnsons were entertained during their visit to Peking in May 1964. According to Nowell's diary the fans were presented at a lunch party there on 29th May.
