| Description | Letters to Johnson from various branches of the Anglo-Soviet Friendship Council and other organisations informing him about their events and activities, and inviting him to speak to their meetings. ; There are also 4 publicity items:- a leaflet advertising Russia's need of Mobile X-ray Units; a souvenir programme for a public meeting at Central Hall, East Ham to raise funds for hospitals at Stalingrad and Changsha; a handbill for a similar fund raising effort at Birmingham Town Hall; and a general letter from the National Council for British-Soviet Unity advertising a meeting at the Stoll Theatre, Kingsway to mark the third anniversary of the invasion of the Soviet Union by Nazi Germany. |
