Slipped inside the front of the folder is a paper-bound, detailed valuation of the listed items of Jack Johns' collection, carried out by P. J. Marrin, dated 1983. Also slipped insider the front cover of the folder is a loose leaf of paper, probably intended for insertion into the bound notes, entitled Charles Darwin's Deagle Collections in the Oxford University Museum (1988).
