Ltd and addressed to the 'Book Collector', offering a pre-publication subscription offer for the facsimile edition of The Zoology of the Voyage of the Beagle. A card slip case with marbled design on covers, containing five sheets of publicity material relating to the facsimile edition of The Zoology of the Voyage of the Beagle, including one reprinted illustration from vol. 3. Also contains freepost self-addressed envelope for reply. Small, glossy booklet containing publicity material and photographs concerning Charles Darwin and The Zoology of the Voyage of the Beagle. Includes a short biography of Charles Darwin, a brief description of the Voyage, and s of each of the facsimile volumes. Also includes brief comments by Dr. John Hemming, director and secretary of the Royal Geographical Society, Solene Morris, Curator of The Darwin Museum, Anthony Howard Swann, Chairman of Wheldon and Wesley and George Darwin, Charles Darwin's great grandson.
