Includes special pantomime edition of The Daily Mirror of Saturday 31 Dec 1910 with a picture of Julia James on the front cover. Also theatre guide pages.Also an account of the annual theatrical garden party in 1915. Also cuttings concerned with smoking in the theatre, alcohol licencing and play licensing. Also cuttings relating to 'bucketshop' frauds in Birmingham.Also an article from the Daily Mail of 23 Jul 1915 relating to the amalgamation of the companies owning the Palace, Empire and Alhambra music halls. Includes piece on the effects of the war on the theatre including proposals for a tax on war performances. Also copy of The Globe of Wednesday 25 Aug 1915 with accounts of the war especially in the Dardanelles.
