Description	This section contains largely typescript playtexts, some annotated in unidentified hands. Some are original Melville plays and others were adapted from other playwrights' work, for example 'The Flying Scud' and 'The Shaugraun' by Dion Boucicault. There are also adaptations of popular dramas such as 'Maria Marten' and 'East Lynne'. Many of these manuscripts contain miscellaneous items relating to the production, including timing sheets, lighting and property plots.
