Contains the printed note, "Magic Lantern is a new and completely revolutionary show from Czechoslavakia being shown for the first time in this country. It is the result of five years intensive work by no less than three hundred artistes and technicians. All the equipment was made in Prague and has been brought from there to London. Weighing some 50 tons, it comprises a complete projection unit of several synchronised projectors; a stereophonic sound unit and a complete stage with moving sections and a special system of various screens both fixed and mobile. Magic Lantern was the sensation of the Brussels World Fair in 1958 and has played to capacity for 2 years in Prague, but this is a new production on which Miss Wendy Toye has been working in Prague with the producers, adapting the show for London audiences." |
