Contains a slip of paper with the typed notice, "Dear Patron, As you may well be aware, the Theatre Royal is closing after the evening performance of 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' on Saturday, 27 June 1981, for extensive renovations. What you may not know is why the renovations are so necessary and what they consist of. We are, therefore, planning an Open Day on Monday, 29 June, at 11.00am to outline our plans and show you round all the parts of the Theatre, including backstage. Everyone is welcome; we hope to see you on the 29th. Yours sincerely C P Raymond"
