Admin historyThe Acklam family were originally from Shropshire, Mid Wales, and Barnsley in Yorkshire. The Gornall and Corfield families (noted on some of the sheet music) were friends of Doris Acklam (nee Gough). William Acklam and his father were pub landlords in Barnsley and would play music on the piano.
