| Description | The film documents the 8th Conference of the Commonwealth Speakers and Presiding Officers held in New Delhi, India, 6-8 January 1986. It was attended by 100 delegates from 34 countries and presided over by Dr Bal Ram Jakhar, the President of the Conference. The film begins with the arrival of delegates at the airport and covers the opening of the conference, with delegates in their ceremonial dress and continues with extracts of speechs during the formal business, the receptions, dinners and entertainments and sight seeing programme arranged for the spouses and partners. There are some shots of Weatherill and his wife who attended the conference. |
