The Grave, in Cheriton Road Cemetery, Folkestone, of Captain John William Crowe, his Wife and Daughter. In the centre, beneath a white marble cross carved with lilies and inscribed, lies Mrs. Jacobson - to her right her father and to her left her mother, each under an engraved shield resting on the ground. The three tombs are enclosed within a low curb and surrounded with loose white marble chippings. Inscriptions:- In loving memory of Edith the dearly loved wife of Alfred Jacobson, late 6th. Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers) Born 5th. Aug. 1850 Died 20th. Dec. 1887. "But O for the touch of a vanished hand,/ And the sound of a voice that is still." John William Crowe late 83rd. Regiment, only son of Lt. Col. John Crowe, K.H., H.<. 32nd. Regiment. Born 19th. July 1823 Died 25th. May 1901. Euphemia Crowe 3rd. daughter of the late Major Archibald Menzies, 42nd.
