  <dc:description>This volume is the second diary concerned with a visit to China by Hewlett and Nowell Johnson in May and June 1964 and the entries cover the period of the visit between May 28th and June 16th. There are detailed, full page entries dealing with their stay in Peking when the Johnson's were met on arrival by Premier and Mrs. Chou En Lai. Nowell Johnson recounts details of their reception lunch party and visits to the Academy, temples in the Ming Tomb Valley, a reservoir etc. At the end of the diary there are brief programme details for May 28th to June 20th with names of Chinese contacts.</dc:description>
