  <dc:description>This volume is the third diary concerned with a visit to China by Hewlett and Nowell Johnson in May and June 1964 and the entries cover the period of the visit between June 17th and June 29th. There are detailed, full page entries dealing with visits to Peking, Canton, where they went sightseeing, Dacca etc. and an account of a talk by Chou En Lai on topics such as England, Africa and Nuclear Warfare. The entries also mention a meeting with Mao Tse-Tung and relate their homeward journey through Pakistan and Karachi. At the back of the diary there is a short programme of events for June 17th to June 30th together with names and addresses of contacts.</dc:description>
