  <dc:description>The first part of the diary contains detailed full page daily entries on a visit to Warsaw and Cracow with Hewlett and Keren Johnson during July and August 1957.The diary also contains two pages of notes by Hewlett Johnson on Chinese history, odd full page entries concerning a visit to the Soviet Union's 40th Anniversary of the October Revolution dated November 4th 1957 and names and addresses of contacts. At the end of the diary there are short daily notes of appointments etc. for the period between July 30th and August 14th covering the Poland trip.</dc:description>
