Hewlett and Nowell Johnson are near the centre of the group with Madame Chou En-lai. This must be the evening of the banquet given by Madame Chou En-lai in Peking in 1964, as this same group are shown in CH6451. According to Nowell's diary this took place on 20th June. See also CH6430 and CH6450 which also appear to be the same event.</dc:description>
