<dc:description>Black and white image of Hewlett and Nowell Johnson with Madame Chou En-lai in China in 1964. Madame Chou En-Lai is warmly shaking Nowell's hand and in the background are some presents which can be seen more clearly in CH6450. This is probably the same event as the banquet pictured in CH6451, given by Madamce Chou En-lai in Peking. According to Nowell's diary this took place on 20th June and the presents consisted of a coffee set, silk for shirts for Hewlett, dress material for her, and some cushion covers.</dc:description>
