Philanthropy in South Africa Records relating to the Moorgate Trust, New Moorgate Trust, and John Ellerman Foundation's support of several causes in South Africa: the Rachel Swart Fund, the John and Esther Ellerman Memorial Trust (St. Dunstan's), the Ian Fraser Memorial Bursary Fund, the Colin Gohl Scholarship Fund, and the St Giles Association for the Handicapped. In 1977, the Trusts provided financial support to the University of Stellenbosch in its construction of a Museum of Zoology which it named in honour of John Ellerman II.
