Item 1 -- 1 letter from a correspondent at Brighton Public Libraries providing Calthrop with notes on the information on Dion Boucicault in the local collections, including excepts from H. C. Porter's "Theatres of Brighton 1774-1885";. Item 2 -- a brief and probably incomplete list in Calthrop's hand of Brighton productions, and of some references to books on theatre history; some Cheltenham and Hull productions are also listed;. Item 3 -- 7 letters/notes from staff at the Public Libraries, Art Galleries and Museum, Cheltenham responding to enquiries about Lee Moreton and Dr. Dionysius Lardner (no information about the latter). One letter mentions enclosed extracts from "The Cheltenham Journal" and "The Looker-on", but they must have become separated from the letter. Other letters mention that photocopies of three Lee Moreton playbills have been sent to Calthrop and that another two cannot be found; also included is a negative response about an enquiry about Mr. Grattan, the manager of the Theatre Royal, Cheltenham;. Item 4 -- notes by Christopher Calthrop about productions of plays in Cheltenham, probably involving Boucicault/Lee Moreton, with the note "BM [British Museum?] Collection" added later;. Item 5 -- 1 letter from the Gloucester City Librarian, responding in the negative to a query about references to Lee Moreton in Gloucester playbills 1837-38; local newspapers were not checked.. Item 6 -- a receipt from the British Museum, apparently for payment for copies of two or three Gloucester playbills. Item 7 -- by Christopher Calthrop about productions of plays in Gloucester, probably involving Boucicault/Lee Moreton. Item 8 -- notes by Calthrop, apparently referring to photocopies obtained of .
