| Description | Written on verso: '23rd Apr. 74. This is the British-built Government House, excellent in its way, and I have been inside it and seen as much as possible - but just my luck, the C. bogus has struck again, several important rooms & records have been closed to the public since the fall of King Constantine! - including the ball-room, which has 3 of the large first-floor windows, & where Mrs. C. must certainly have taken the floor. In spite of all, there is still some atmosphere. How she must have loved it here! G.L.' |
