| Description | Sheet music for piano and voice, titled "Johnny Bull's Concert Hall", appearing as two bifold folio sheets (8 pages total). The front cover depicts a man in a suit sitting on a chair, with an abnormally large head. He is facing another man, also with an abnormally large head, who is sitting in front of an easel with a blank canvas on it. On the back of this man's shirt is a piece of paper which reads "Our special paper-stainer, this side up with care". At the top of the page are whispy illustrations of caricatures, some which are political. One is of a tightrope walker holding a bar, which reads "Liberalism" on one side and "Conservatism" on the other side, and is walking on a tightrope which reads "Popularity"; There is a man in a uniform holding a newspaper with a hat that reads "Smith", and calling out "Paper"; There is a man pointing at a drawing of a cow, with the writing "...Acres the cow"; There are three people cheering on a man in Scottish dress, who is dancing over writing on the floor which reads "Home Rule"; There is a man in a suit hitting a hanging body with a sword, subtitled "Tin Cutlass..."; and there is a man doing magic tricks, holding a cone which reads "Coercion bill", which he lifts up to reveal a block reading "Irish Troubles". |
