Description	Collison and Grece pay £500 to Locke for land at ‘Ash next Ridley’, in Kent. If by the 2nd July Locke pays back the £500 (plus interest) to Collison and Grece, the land shall return to him. At the base of Mortgage: There are three red seals, each depicting a woman holding a set of scales. Only the bottom left seal is signed, bearing the name ‘Richard Locke’. Perhaps indicates this was a copy held by one of the purchasers.
Notes	Damage: Seals flaking – care needed when opening manuscript. There is a large printed paper stamp glued in the left hand margin. It is printed in red ink and reads ‘twelve shillings & six pence’.
PhysicalDescription	Parchment, folded. Top is cut in a rough waved pattern. Approx. 59x71cm
