Description
The Shirley Foundation gave a small grant to Balliol College for a feasability study to investigate establishing a Historic Collections Centre to house the College's medieval manuscripts. A further million was pledged to create the centre when a suitable site was found, on the condition that the other money was raised before The Shirley Foundation released their donation. The centre was established at St Cross Church.
