Description	This diary, covering the period between October 17th and October 31st 1959, is one of two concerning a visit to China with Hewlett Johnson in October and November 1959. There are full page detailed daily entries of visits to factory communes, etc and a reservoir with Chou En Lai and meetings with Peace Committees. There are also detailed notes on the Chin Nu (Golden Cattle) and Singmin (New People) Communes.
