| Description | Sheet music for piano and voice titled, “That is love!” appearing as two folio sheets (8 pages total). The cover has three illustrations, on of a woman, in a bedroom, in night clothes checking the contents of the pockets on a pair of cheque trousers. Another shows, in the foreground a man in a boat holding a note in one hand while behind a woman is in the water, apparently drowning, with a hand raised asking for help; a caption reads, ‘Poor ma-in-law goes below’. The man is crying, ‘Saved! Saved!! The fiver is saved’. In the third illustration a rather scruffy looking man, carrying something under his arm, stands at sign that reads, ‘Money lent to any amount on valuable security’. A caption reads ‘His family want bread, does he hesitate what to do? No – he pawns his only shirt – and gets drunk again with the money – that is love’. |
