| Description | Sheet music for piano and voice titled, “The basket of onions” appearing as two folio sheets (8 pages total). The performer is depicted, in lithograph, on the cover dressed in top-hat and tails. The cloths appear to be shabby; trousers patched at the knee, jacket threadbare at the elbow. A door opening into where he stands is marked “property room” and outside there is a sign pointing to the “Stage”. Within the room there are various items of costumery; face masks, a knight’s shield, a Roman helmet etc. |
