| Description | : Indenture of Conveyance of land at Rainham Mark for £300, from Ind Coope & Co. Limited to William Edward Renwell Randall and William John Scott.
The piece of land involved is described as being located in Rainham Mark in the Parish of Rainham, Kent. It is described as being enclosed by a quick set hedge, and includes, on the South part, land abutting on the High Road from Chatham to Canterbury, as on the North part, around 163ft of assize. On the East side, the land abuts on hereditaments ‘now or late belonging to [LARGE GAP] Button’, and on the West side 56ft, abutting onto hereditaments belonging to Walter Stunt. Includes the tenement thereon formerly used as a Beershop and known as “The Rainham Mark”. |
| Notes | At base of Indenture:
The ‘Common Seal of the Law Debenture Corporation Limited’: Circular, around 6cm in diameter, dark red with tooth-cut edge, reading ‘The Law Debenture Corporation Limited’ around a central image. The labelling of the seal and witnesses is printed in purple ink. Witnesses to its affixation were:
• Thomas W. [?], and Charles Stewart (Directors)
• Henry Milton (Secretary)
Underneath that is the ‘Common Seal of Ind Coope Company Limited’: Circular, around 6cm in diameter, red with tooth-cut edge, reading ‘The Law Debenture Corporation Limited’ around a central image. The labelling of the seal and witnesses is handwritten in black ink Witnesses to its affixation were:
• [?] Elwes, and [?] (Directors)
• Henry [?] (Secretary)
Beneath that to the left is a note of document being signed, sealed, and delivered by Edward Murray in the presence of [?] of ‘The Brewery’, Romford, Chartered Secretary.
To the right of the note of delivery are the signatures of ‘E. Murray’ (in ink), and W.E.R. Randall and W.J. Scott (in pencil). All three signatures have an identical red wax seal to their right with the letter ‘H’ upon it. |
