| Description | Hone sells land to the Folshoms for £450.
Land comprises of: ‘All that piece or parcel of land situate at Rainham Mark in the Parish of Rainham in the County of Kent enclosed by a quickset hedge containing as well on the front or South side thereof abutting on the High road leading from Chatham to Canterbury as on the rear or North side thereof One hundred and sixty three feet more or less and as well on the East side thereof abutting on hereditaments now or lately belonging to Walter Stunt Fifty six feet more or less’. Also includes the tenement formerly used as a Beerhouse and known as “The Rainham Mark”.
References former Conveyance of 30th January 1904, made between William Edward Renwell Randall and William John Scott, and George Henry Hone.
At base of Conveyance: Signatures of ‘George Henry Hone’, FSC Folshom’, and ‘Frances Folshom’. All three signatures have an identical red wax seal to their right with the letter ‘H’ upon it.
To the left of the signatures is a note stating that the document was signed, sealed and delivered by the tree individuals involved in the presence of ‘[?] Hillary[?]’, ‘Solicitor Chatham’. |

Page 1: There is one printed paper stamp glued in the top left hand margin of the page. It is printed in red ink and reads ‘two pounds five shillings’. In the bottom left hand margin of the page is a printed stamp of a crown (about 2x2cm) with a capital ‘D’ underneath it.
There have been several alterations to the text in pencil.
Page 2: There is a paper stamp glued to the top right of the page.
Page 4: Serves as “front cover”, and details the date, title, and persons involved in the Conveyance. Also contains bottom right: ‘A. Booth Hearn, Solicitor, Chatham’ |
