| Description | Having got past a few legal hiccups, Edmund Freeman, Francis William George Richardson, and Jack Freeman (all the Trustees of the Will of the late Frederick Henry Dougal, deceased), sell land to Albert Charles Victor Proctor for £18. The lands in question are two plots situate on Aperfield Court Estate in the Parish of Cudham, Kent, marked in pink on page 4.
At the base of Conveyance: The signatures of Edmund Freeman, FWG Richardson, J. Freeman, and Albert Charles Victor Proctor, all witnessed by ‘[?].H.[?]uire’, except for Jack Freeman, who was witnessed by ‘Philip Ganeth [/Gareth]’ of ’29 Spring Gardens’. All signatures bear a printed circular seal in black ink (around 2cm in diameter), with a hatched pattern. |
| Notes | Page 1: Red printed stamp on top right of page, reading ‘TWO SHILLINGS’, and circled in pencil.
Page 4: Serves as both “front” and “back cover”, and contains details of date, title, and persons involved in document. Bottom of page has typed: ‘BURCH, WHITEHEAD & DAVIDSONS, 29 Spring Gardens, S.W.’ At the very top of the page, a large ‘2’ has been hand written. [Document very likely related to ‘RB/DOC/LT/026, RB/DOC/LT/027, and RB/DOC/LT/028’.]
On “back cover”, an additional note has been written in with a typewriter, titled ‘ “S.H.C.2”. ’ The note reads ‘This is the Conveyance dated the 13th November 1912 referred to in the Statuary Declaration of Stanley Herbert Chapman which was declared before me this 3rd day of October 1964.’. It is signed by ‘A.G. Fanich[?]’, the Commissioner for Oaths. The date, month, and signature have been handwritten in the same blue ink as on RB/DOC/LT/025, indicating that the document was likely prepared in advance of the declaration.
There is also included on this page a printed map, with apparent plots marked out, and two highlighted in pink: plots 5192 and 5247, which are adjacent to eachother. These are also adjacent to two plots previously bought by the Purchaser (plots 5193 and 5248 in ‘RB/DOC/LT/026’). |
