| Description | Florence Eva Proctor desires to retire as a trustee. Stanley Herbert Chapman to take her place.
At the base of Conveyance: The signatures of:
• M Proctor, witnessed by ‘E.D. Upchurch’ (of ‘19 Cuckoo Hallham [?], London N9’ (Hospital [?]))
• F E Proctor, witnessed by ‘T Howland’ (of ‘3 Roberts Road Rainham’ (Skill Laborer))
• SH Chapman, witnessed by ‘J H Rutland’ (of ’17 Wordsworth Rd Maidstone’ (Insurance Clerk)).
All main signatures bear to the right identical red circular seals (about 1cm in diameter), with a hatched pattern. |

Companies they had stock in included ‘United British Steamship Company Limited’, ‘Defence Bonds’, ‘Dunlop Rubber Company Limited’, ‘The Home and Colonial Stores Limited’, ‘Harrods Limited’, ‘Harrods (Buenos Aires) Limited’, ‘Wells Watford Brewery Limited’, ‘Suburban and Provincial Stores Limited’, ‘The Bikam Rubber Estate Limited’, ‘Lambeth Building Society’, and ‘The Isle of Thanet Building Society’. Page 3: Sum of amount worked out in pencil.
Page 4: Serves as both “front” and “back cover”, and contains details of date, title, and persons involved in document. At the very top of the page, a large ‘4’ has been hand written. [Document very likely related to ‘RB/DOC/LT/025, RB/DOC/LT/026, and RB/DOC/LT/027’.]
On the “back cover”, an additional note has been written in with a typewriter, titled ‘ “S.H.C.4”. ’ The note reads ‘This is the Deed of Appointment dated the 15th January 1951 referred to in the Statuary Declaration of Stanley Herbert Chapman which was declared before me this third day of October 1964.’. It is signed by ‘F[?].H. Fanich[?]’, a Commissioner for Oaths. The date, month, and signature have been handwritten with a blue ballpoint pen, and the signature with a dark blue ink pen. |
