DescriptionA collection of three abstracts of deeds concerning the British Land Company Ltd's purchase of land. 1) Asbstract of the title of the British Land Company to freehold land in Gillingham - details of documents concerning 'Little Braggs and Common Braggs' and 'Barn Sole Croft' from 1804-1847; 2) Abstract of later title comprising all property purchased by the Company - details of documents concerning collection of land acquired by British Land Company from 1847-1862; 3) abstract of protions of deed of settlement of British Land Company - details of incorporation of British Land Company and its powers to deal land.
PhysicalDescriptionThree abstracts consisting of 3, 8 and 12 pages respectively, held in a separate page bearing details of contents. 24 pages total. Grey-blue paper with W Stradling 1861 & Britannia watermark. Most pages black typewritten text, with some containing handrawn and coloured plans indicating areas of land.
