| Description | 1: Letter from Frank Hill (town clerk) approving Mr R Jone's plan to build a private garage in Gillingham.
2: Abstract of title Mrs Hilda Blanche Pratt to freehold property " River View" Forge Lane, Gillingham. Includes two sheets of tracing paper which show plans of plots of land mentioned in the rest of the document.
3: Application for official land registry search for Riverview, Forge Lane, Gillingham. Names Grace Helma Jones (wife of Robert James Jones, 93 Jefferey Street, Gillingham), Hilda Blanche Pratt (wife of Charles Pratt, 62 Church Street, Gillingham) and Stephens and Sons (solicitors) 41 Railway Street, Chatham.
4: Documents relating to RB/DOC/LT/194/3 (including receipt of £5 paid by Stephens and Sons solicitors for the land registry search) and a letter from Robert Booth, town clerk, regarding North East Kent Regional Planning Scheme.
5: Two copies of the schedule of deeds and documents relating to "Riverview" Forge Lane, Gillingham. Lists documents (mortgages, conveyances, copies of wills, etc) ranging in date from 11th April 1838 to 25th November 1968. Neither signed and place for date and month left blank (year 1970 typed).
6: Letter from Frank Kill (town clerk) to Mr R Jones saying that the erection of a private garage on Forge Lane doesn't require the consent of the Local Planning Authority.
7: Plan of River View, Forge Lane on tracing paper. stamped with approval under the Gillingham Borough Council Public Health Acts, Building Byelaws and Gillingham Corporation Act of 1931.
8: Indenture between John simson Bullard and James Tanner and Job Edward Marks.
9: Abstract of title of George Edward Gates to two freehold dwelling houses (known as Walnut Tree Cottages) on Cottage Lane near Church Street, Gillingham, and the freehold of the "fruit plantation". Also references Indenture of Conveyance dated 12th January 1861 between James Hodges and George Edward Gates, and a copy of a plan from the Deed of that same date (on waxy paper, between page two and page five, originally secured with a nail now removed).
10: Conveyance of 'a piece of Ground' on Cottage Lane, Gillingham. From James Hodges to George Edward Gates. Acknowledgement that George Edward Gates will pay James Hodges £415 of consideration money.
11: Inland revenue form filled in by James Hodges regarding death of Job Edward Marks, valuation of properties of the deceased.
12: Conveyance between Engineer Lieutenant Frederick John Baker, William Thomas Baker and George Henry Baker, about three tenements and "fruit plantation" on Forge Lane, Gillingham.
13: Abstract of Title of Mr James Hodges to a piece of land (lot 5 of 6) in Gillingham, Kent. Lists indentures from 11th April 1838 to 18th August 1860 about the ownership of the land.
14: Mortgage (23rd May 1907) for three tenements and a fruit plantation on Forge Lane, between George Henry Baker (naval pensioner) and George Robbins Viney (Gentleman) for £140 and interest. Reconveyance (7th October 1913) between Mary Viney (widow), Adolphus Frederick William Stephens (solicitor), and George Henry Baker. George Robbins Viney died 24th April 1913.
15: Copy of codicil to the Will of Mrs Mary Ann Baker (of Forge Lane, widow). Gives land to sons Frederick John Baker and George Henry Baker as equal tenants. Gives no. 6 Church Street, Gillingham ("Cooley's House") to son Edward James Baker, if he will accept the house instead of "all moneys" she owes him.
16: Copy of Will of Mrs Mary Ann Baker (Forge Lane, Gillingham).
17: Copy of Will of Mr William Baker. Making his wife Mrs Mary Ann Baker and his son William Thomas Baker as executors of his Will. Note dated 7th March 1900 that he died. Note dated 15th June 1900 about probate.
18: Mortgage between William Baker (mortgagor) and Mary Anne Cooke (spinster, mortgagee) for a piece of land and two tenements on Cottage Lane, Gillingham, for £280 plus interest (4th September 1877). And Reconveyance between Miss Clarissa Cooke (spinster), Anne Sanders (widow) and William Baker.
19: Conveyance between George Edward Gates and William Baker piece of land, two tenements (known as Walnut Tree Cottages) and part of a fruit tree plantation on Cottage Lane, Gillingham. For £430.
20: Conveyance between George Henry Baker (naval pensioner) to James Albert Stubbs (tool maker) of three tenements and land on Forge Lane, Gillingham, for £500.
21: Mortgage of "River View" Forge Lane, Mrs Hilda Blanche Pratt, District Reliance Permanent Building Society. Also contained an Application of an Official Search for James Albert Stubbs and Hilda Blanche Pratt at "River View", Forge Lane. Made by Booth, Hearn and Stratton Solicitors, 14th August 1929.

| PhysicalDescription | 1: Approx: 20.5 x 25cm. Single sheet of paper folded into thirds. One fold appears delicate. Typed letter. One corner had previously been stappled and is now bent. Discolouration mainly on the outside.
2: Approx: 32.5 x 42cm. Made up of nine sheets, two of which are tracing paper, the other seven normal paper. Typed. Both sheets of tracing paper are copies of plans of plots of land. Rusting metal pin removed (not replaced with brass paperclip as documents too thick). Difficult to unfold.
3: Approx: 33 x 20.5cm. Single sheet of paper, folded in half. Thin paper, but in good condition.
4: Approx: 34 x 21cm. Rusted paperclip and rusted staple stained paper in multiple places (removed and replaced with brass paperclip). Five sheets of paper.
5: Approx: 33 x 20cm unfolded. Both have one centre fold each. Typed, two sheets of paper each. Staples removed and replaced with brass paperclips. Both have some discolouration along lefthand side edge and from stapples.
6: Approx: 20 x 13cm unfolded. Typed, one sheet of paper, twice folded. Stapple removed, small amount of rust discoloured paper.
7: Approx: 38 x 50cm unfolded. Diagram (plan of River View on Forge Lane, Gillingham) on tracing paper. Ink stamp. Multiple folds.
8: Approx: 76 x 58cm unfolded. Handwritten. Red margins. Two sheets, secured with fold along bottom. Three red wax stamps along bottom fold, next to signatures of John Simson Bullard and James Tanner. Includes several postage stamps. Discolouration.
9: Approx: 42 x 34cm. Five sheets of blue paper, each folded four times and secured with ribbon. Fragile where folds intersect. Outside folds discoloured. Handwritten, mainly in blank ink but with some pencil annotations. Copy of a plan from a deed dated 12th January 1861 on waxy paper. Originally secured to main document (between pages two and five) with a small nail/pin, removed but not replaced with brass paperclip because of potential damage due to needed placement.
10: Approx: 73 x 59cm. Handwritten. One sheet folded multiple times. Discolouration on the outside folds. Includes diagram (same as RB/DOC/LT/194/9). Multiple postage stamps, two red wax steals with imprint of letter 'H', along bottom edge next to signature of James Hodges.
11: Approx: 26 x 41 cm unfolded. One sheet, folded into booklet. Blue paper, printed form filled in in ink by hand. Damage to top and bottom edges. Some rips and discolouration.
12: Approx: 70 x 59cm unfolded. One sheet, folded, handwritten. Pencil annotations. Postage stamps, and three red wax seals next to signatures. Some discolouration.
13: Approx: 34 x 43cm. 18 sheets of paper, secured at top left corner, folded into quarters. Handwritten. Edges have some damage/fragile. Some discolouration.
14: Approx: 60 x 45cm. One sheet of paper, folded several times. Handwritten. Mortgage section has a black crown above letter "D" both black ink stamp. Also a three shilling and ninepence stamp, and two red wax seals next to signatures. Reconveyance section has a one shilling red postage stamp and three red wax seals, stamped with "A.F.W.S", next to signatures. Good condition.
15: Approx: 26 x 41cm unfolded. Five sheets of paper, secured at top left corner. Five sheets of paper, last one the thickest. First three sheets typed, last two blank. Some corrections in pencil, and "Examined with Probate E. J. Harnden 14/05/07" on third sheet. Discolouration, including black/grey on corners of outside fold.
16: Approx: 26 x 41cm. Nine sheets, secured at top left corner. First seven sheets typed, last sheet thickest. Pencil corrections, and "Examined with Probate E. J. Harnden 14/05/07" on page seven. Folded in half. Discolouration, especially outside fold with black/grey discolouration at corners.
17: Approx: 25 x 38cm. Handwritten, one sheet of paper, folded. Good condition.
18: Approx: 75 x 62cm. One sheet, folded. Handwritten. Mortgage: two red wax seals by signatures. Reconveyance: postage stamps (one shilling, one sixpence). Two wax seals next to signatures, possibly stamped with outline of a deer. Some discolouration.
