| Description | Contains 11 compact diaries from 1929-1948 belonging to Esther Ellerman. The diaries include handwritten notes, typically in pencil, for appointments and events, with some small hand drawn illustrations in the inside covers. Included in the same box is Esther Ellerman's National Registration Identity Card (1947), a christmas greeting card from M. Ellerman (1904), and a Book of Common Prayer and Psalms of David (Church of England) with "John Ellerman 1920" written in the inside cover. Also contains three of Esther Ellerman's British passports (1940s-1970s), four account books from National Savings Bank (Glasgow), Bank of Montreal, and Barclays Bank, and a Post Office Savings Bank Book (Marylebone). |
